The Research and Science

The Work on Wellbeing assessment has been developed by global leaders in wellbeing, organisational and positive psychology including Dr Aaron Jarden, Dr Todd Kashdan, Dr Jo Mitchell, Dr Alex Mackenzie, and Dr Dan Weijers, amongst others.

This level of expertise and scientific rigour has created the most robust, scientifically validated assessment tool allowing individuals, consultants and workplaces to receive trusted insights and actions that are proven to support wellbeing.

The Work on Wellbeing examines four main pillars of wellbeing; global wellbeing, life satisfaction, workplace wellbeing and component wellbeing.

Boost Engagement

Once upon a time, yoga classes and meditation sessions were considered bonus initiatives to foster wellbeing in the workplace.  Today, these gestures are no longer enough as employers have a responsibility to ensure the wellbeing of their workforce.

Employee attraction, retention, engagement is at the heart of Human Resource strategy and can’t be achieved without a happy, healthy workforce and a clear path to get there.

Investing in the Work on Wellbeing could be one of the best investments your organisation makes. By providing actionable insights and the ability to track progress over time, your organisation can lead the way in employee wellbeing.

Increase Retention

Cultivating a healthy and happy working environment is crucial to retaining your employees.

When you gain valuable insights from the Work on Wellbeing, you will unlock the knowledge you need to nurture and retain your team. With our unique evaluation you can create high-impact strategies to support retention.

Improve Outcomes

Elevating your team’s wellbeing has many positive effects.

A content and happy workforce is the cornerstone of better business outcomes.  Healthy, happy, engaged employees showing up day after day as their best self produces better business outcomes.

Not only is employee wellbeing the right thing to do, it is also essential in today’s competitive environment.

Frequently Asked Questions – Organisation

We have compiled a series of frequently asked questions for organisations who are ready to gain evidence-based insights and uplift the workforce with the Work on Wellbeing assessment.

If you have a question that is not covered below, visit our FAQ.

Yes. WoW suggests empirically validated approaches to increasing wellbeing via the ‘My Activities’ on Employee and Consultees dashboards. In addition, at the end of Employees and Consultees reports there is a section called “Ways to Wellbeing” where we suggest websites, apps, and books.

When your organisation completes their second (and subsequent) assessment, these results are dynamically integrated with the results of your organisation’s first assessment. For example, your organisational report for your second assessment will display your organisation’s wellbeing results at time 1, and the new results at time 2 (and 3, 4, 5 and so on). It is then easy to see how various aspects of your organisation’s wellbeing have changed over time.

The WoW assessment has been crafted by the top wellbeing assessment scientists in the field, learn more here.

Organisational results and reports are stored in your account indefinitely. You can come back at any time and download a past report.

The WoW assessment is the best assessment commercially available. Most other wellbeing assessments are not based on the scientific literature, are not comprehensive, do not provide contextualised results, have very little or no flexibility, and most importantly, do not track wellbeing over time.

If you are an Individual or Employee user, an assessment is 50 questions and takes around 10 minutes on average to complete. Your Organisation/Consultant can also add a limited number of extra questions so your assessment might be slightly longer.

WoW also has a special algorithm that can determine if users are completing the assessment too quickly and not comprehending the questions (in which case we deem the data invalid, and they are asked to begin again).

If you are an individual user, you can complete an assessment as often as you like. The minimum time between assessments is 30 days. You also have the ability within your individual user dashboard to set your email reminders to either 30 days (approx. monthly), 90 days (approx. quarterly), 180 days (approx. half-yearly), or 360 days (approx. yearly).

If you are an Employee, your Organisation (Your Organisation registration option) will determine how often it would like you to complete an assessment – every 30, 90, 180 or 360 days, or at custom periods it defines. You will get an email reminder in line with the frequency that your organisation specifies. If you are an employee where a Consultant has asked you to do an assessment (meaning you have deemed a Consultee), you can determine how often you would like to complete an assessment – every 30, 90, 180 or 360 days.

Yes, as an Individual, Employee or Consultee user, the introductory report is free. For deeper insights, we recommend the comprehensive report.WoW charges Organisations for organisational wellbeing reports and also charges others for other commercial use – such as Consultants who monitor the wellbeing of various people. We make assessments and reports free for Individual and Employee / Consultee users and hope they are useful in improving their wellbeing.
